The project, “Hunt for Europe: Using Language Simulator in Culture & Language Integrated Learning,” addresses, among others, a cornerstone of the program, which is multilingualism and being united in diversity.

Apart from addressing the issue of learning at least 2 foreign languages, the project will also teach the students the cultural differences of the participating country through an interactive game.

The project uses advanced computer-assisted learning method, with voice recognition capacity for both language learning and cultural understanding will improve the language and culture skills not only of people in the labor force, but the ordinary EU citizen as well. A digital immersive language-learning platform will be developed, using content integrated language learning method (CLIL).

The basis of this method is that the content is learned in a language different from the native language of the learners. Through the CLII method the learner will both
1) gain content knowledge about culture and history and
2) develop or enhance their language skills.

This serious game “Hunt for Europe” will be able to support individuals in acquiring and developing and increased levels of competencies mentioned above and in addition, offering an opportunity to increase the individual levels of digital skills.

The combination of teaching cultural understanding and language skills will enhance the players ‘/ learners’ intercultural competences. Furthermore, the historical content will contribute to a sense of being a “European”.
